Roelof Schierbeek (1983) – better known as BEYOND – started painting in 1997. What began as a graffiti adventure evolved into exploring the art of mural painting. He created an artistic language that he uses to tell stories. On the border between abstraction and realism, his layered style has become a way to communicate and connect with the audience in a playful and lively way.
Museum Prinsenhof Delft is a versatile and dynamic museum located in the heart of the historic city centre. It recounts the story of five centuries of Dutch history and the special role that Delft plays in this. Three closely related themes – William of Orange, Delft Masters and Delft Blue – form the basis of the programming. Visitors are immersed in Delft's rich past, art and culture. The museum is in a former monastery that temporarily served as the court of William of Orange in the 16th century. The building is on the list of 100 most important national monuments of the Cultural Heritage Agency.
Museum Prinsenhof Delft is stepping out with Museum Murals and together with the socio-cultural institution CANIDREAM, renowned street artist BEYOND and local residents, created a mural in the Buitenhof district in Delft in summer 2024.
