Studio Giftig consists of the Netherlands-based artist duo Niels van Swaemen (1982 Eindhoven, the Netherlands) and Kaspar van Leek (1983 Philipsburg, St. Maarten). The duo started their collaboration in 2007 and jointly developed a detailed and (sur)realistic painting style. From huge murals in public spaces to smaller-scale work for galleries, their art transforms everyday situations into surrealist perspectives. In 2023, Studio Toxic marked a global milestone by winning ‘Best Mural Worldwide’, a title issued by Street Art Cities.
